About

The Mid Glamorgan Mission covers the Rhondda Valley, The Cynon Valley, and the Rhymney Valley. Before the rise of coal mining the area was sparsely populated, though there were significant pilgrim routes passing through the area. As population grew during Victorian times the skill and love for singing was established with local choirs winning national awards. This love for singing remains part of the life of our churches. In recent years the Circuit has shared in the decline that has affected many valleys communities and has seen the closure of several Churches. We find inspiration from the regeneration and greening of the Valleys – the creative and sustaining power of God is at work and we believe that God will bring renewal and new life to his Church. As we wait on God, we serve our communities as best we can, meeting need where possible and being places where the presence of God is celebrated and where there is a welcome offered to everyone.
